Questions people ask
What should I put in the form?
The idea in a sentence or two, roughly where and how big, which artist if you have one in mind, and a few reference photos. Your mobile number matters most: we reply by text.
How fast do you reply?
Within a day during shop hours, usually sooner. If you have not heard from us by the next afternoon, call (858) 483-7828.
Do I have to pay anything to book?
Not to send the form or to have the consultation. The deposit comes after you and your artist agree on the piece.
Which shop do I come to?
We tell you when we confirm. Funhouse Tattoo is at 1453 Garnet Ave, Redemption Ink directly across the street at 1440 Garnet Ave.
Do you take walk-ins?
Yes, at both shops, every day we are open. Walk in with your idea and the artist on the floor will look at it with you; if it needs drawing time, we book you the next open slot. Small pieces and simple lettering are usually done the same day. Consultations are free, and you must be 18 or older with a valid photo ID.
Where do I park?
Garnet Avenue meters are limited to 2 hours, so park a block away instead: Hornblend St, Felspar St, Haines St and Fanuel St have free street parking for up to 12 hours. Both shops are on the same block of Garnet, so one spot serves either one.
